VALENTINE'S DAY is right around the corner. Some refer to it as "Singleness Awareness Day!" but it doesn't have to feel that way. It's a day associated with being "coupled up," roses and chocolates. Yes, it is wonderful, but remember when you were in Elementary School you brought everyone a card and special treat? Your teachers, parents and friends. It's still like that. You can flip the script on the whole holiday and go do something for yourself and others. Here's a few thoughts:
"Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers, plant your own garden!" Plant the seeds of personal growth, cultivate creativity, design the landscape of the life you want. And, hey buy yourself flowers!
"Being alone will never be as lonely as the wrong relationship." If you are single, don't settle. If you are in a strained relationship that's another blog. I got you. Stay tuned.
"It's not about you!" Go be of service. Call/visit someone who is isolated. Volunteer at an animal shelter. Pass out waters and love kits to the homeless.
"Take your vitals!" How's your heart health? Make a self-care plan. Go see your doctor for a heart check and maybe a therapist for your emotional and mental health. If you are dating, people will see it as a plus that you are in therapy healing your traumas and wounds.
"The 5 Love Languages" Read the book. You will improve all of your relationships!
"A Do Over" Flex some new fashion, a new do, fragrance. When you look good, you feel good.
"Baby you should and go and love yourself!" Justin Bieber fan here. Truth. Self-love and confident, well it hits different! There's nothing more attractive than someone who loves and respects themselves, has a life and exudes confidence.
If you want to work on yourself, Individual and group coaching sessions available!
