So what is life coaching?
Life Coaching is the process of helping someone find the path between where they are now and where they want to be. It is like a bridge from here to there.
Life coaching sessions are about setting and achieving goals in many areas of life including business, career, health, well being, relationships; communication, boundaries and life balance. It can be wanting to find a new job to exploring new passion and finding joy. A life coach uses thought provoking questions to help clients identify goals, recognize current life stage, possible mental or emotional blocks, consider options and choose actions to move from here to there.
Life coaching centers around the belief that everyone can have success and find their own answers rather than being told what to do (unless you are my kid...just kidding, maybe not.) There is a quote that says, "whatever you are looking for you are looking with." Each individual has their own answers. A Life Coach can help bring wants, needs, wishes to light through positive goal oriented sessions with an action plan. Within this framework, I have worked with clients ranging from high school/college age students, professionals; executives/CEOs to young adults, widows/widowers, divorcees to recovering addicts. It is my pleasure to watch people transform, experience victory and realize their full potential.
My name is Jennifer. I am a certified life coach. Yes, I took the classes, but most of what I know comes from life experience. I am a widow and single mom of two amazing college age students. I have worked in the entertainment industry. I have been a teacher and most recently pursuing my passion as a life coach and mental health advocate. I am here to listen, ask questions and provide a safe place for personal growth, fresh perspective, new hope and freedom! My life as I knew it came to a screeching halt when my late husband died suddenly. I have been reinventing my life ever since while raising two teenagers all while recovering from grief. I understand anxiety, grief and depression. I am also a prisoner of hope. I know that anyone with willingness and desire to change, life can get better ---even beautiful. If I can do it, anyone can.
